Stuart D. Adams, Esq.
Stuart D. Adams, Esq. is a partner in Adams, Ferrone & Ferrone and has been practicing law since 1989. Stuart serves as general corporate counsel to non-profit, mutual benefit organizations throughout California. He provides representation in setting up corporations and maintains the corporate status of these clients. Within this framework, Stuart also helps these agencies in the negotiation of collective bargaining agreements with either direct presence at the negotiating table or through backup legal opinions and advice, depending on the preference of the client. Stuart handles contract maintenance representation and provides legal advice to the boards of directors of these organizations in their day to day activities.
Stuart also represents clients facing internal affairs investigations by employers. He has represented clients in hundreds of hearings, including arbitrations and appeals in administrative and judicial proceedings. Over the course of his career, Stuart has represented the interests of more than 100 public safety organizations across California. He has significant criminal defense and litigation experience with mandatory injunctions and Writs of Mandamus.
Prior to co-founding Adams, Ferrone & Ferrone in 2001, Stuart practiced law at Silver, Hadden & Silver in Santa Monica, California from 1990 to 1997. In 1997 he established the law firm Goyette & Adams in Sacramento, California.
Stuart is a lecturer for the Peace Officers’ Research Association of California and is a former Treasurer of the Sacramento County Bar Labor & Employment law section. Stuart received his law degree from the University of San Diego. In 1985 he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
